Position:
Persian Farsi Instructor
Job Description:
Provide basic, intermediate and advanced Persian Farsi language instruction to U.S. government and other personnel. Position includes preparing new course materials, developing e-curriculum and CBT courseware. Assist with the evaluation of students and academic counseling.
Required Experience:
Native or near-native fluency in the required language and professional-level fluency in English. Fully knowledgeable of the target culture and current usage of the language. Five years combined experience in language education and methodology and adult education required. Minimum five years combined experience preparing and presenting language platform instruction within a learning center environment. Two years experience using word processing software required. Three years combined experience developing and delivering language courses for both platform and e-learning delivery from refresher through advanced (post-graduate) levels, focusing on translation, grammar, aural comprehension, reading comprehension, and non-standard language usage. Two years experience in developing Web-based, instructionally sound student materials, using Web development tools such as Macromedia products (Dreamweaver).
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in the language, teaching methodology or a related field; or comparable directly-related work experience.
