US Navy Selects MLS to Provide Cultural and Language Training for Pacific Partnership 2015

In support of the humanitarian mission Pacific Partnership 2015, the US Navy has selected MLS to provide Vietnamese cultural training and language familiarization onboard the USNS Mercy in the Philippines. MLS’s instructor will conduct training for ship personnel during the month of August prior to arriving in Vietnam. Launched following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission in the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region. The mission seeks to build stronger relationships and disaster response capabilities across the region’s military forces, governments, and humanitarian organizations. MLS has provided customized cultural training on multiple countries participating in Pacific Partnership since 2008.
